Sustainability further refined: SIKA prioritizes key areas for action

Sustainability at SIKA is being developed in a structured and collaborative way. In a cross-departmental workshop, existing topics were consolidated, assessed, and the next steps prepared.

Sustainability is a topic that is already embedded at SIKA and is now being further specified in a targeted manner. Building on the materiality analysis conducted last year, a workshop focused on the systematic development and prioritization of relevant sustainability topics.

With external support, colleagues from various departments came together – including Executive Management, Purchasing, Sales, Quality Management, Human Resources, Occupational Safety, and Sustainability Management. Ecological, social, and economic aspects were jointly reviewed, discussed, and classified.

Exchange creates clarity

The workshop was driven by open, cross-departmental dialogue. Different perspectives were brought together, topics sharpened, and shared priorities identified. This resulted in a common understanding of which sustainability topics are particularly relevant for SIKA today and in the future.

This clarity helps to set priorities consistently and provides a solid basis for the next steps.

What comes next

Based on the workshop results, the sustainability strategy will now be further developed and formally adopted, including a sustainability report. Concrete goals and measures will then be derived and gradually integrated into existing processes. Regular review and further development will remain an integral part of this approach.

Sustainability at SIKA emerges through the interaction of many functions – and continues to evolve step by step.
