15 runners in the corporate run, one marathon relay team and plenty of kilometers covered: At the 2026 Kassel Marathon, our colleagues took part in two different events. Running together, motivating each other and crossing the finish line as a team – that was what this weekend was all about.
Out of the office and into our running shoes! On September 19 and 20 , SIKA was once again part of the Kassel Marathon. With 15 participants in the corporate run and a four-person mixed marathon relay team, our colleagues took to the starting line under the team name “SIKA MESSBAR BESSER”.
15 runners and 42 kilometers of teamwork
The weekend kicked off on Saturday with 15 SIKA colleagues taking part in the corporate run. Alongside numerous other corporate teams, they completed the course through Kassel, finishing at the Auestadion stadium. SIKA's fastest team finished 26th in the mixed category.
On Sunday, the next challenge awaited: our four-person marathon relay team took on the classic marathon distance of 42.195 kilometers. Dividing the course into four stages, our colleagues completed the distance together and crossed the finish line at the Auestadion with a net time of 4:33:30 hours.
More than just kilometers and personal bests
Whether in the corporate run or the marathon relay, it wasn't just about sporting achievements. What mattered most were the shared moments on and off the course: cheering each other on, taking on the challenge together and proudly holding a finisher's medal at the end.
As a company with roots in Kaufungen, we are delighted to have been part of the Kassel Marathon once again this year, joining people from across the region in getting active together.
